Greetings from Thanthai Roever Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Perambalur!

We are delighted to share that we successfully celebrated our 29th Annual Sports Meet – “CHAMPIONS ARENA ’26” today, 14.08.2026, with great enthusiasm, energy, and sporting spirit on our school campus.

The programme commenced with a warm Welcome Address delivered by our respected Principal Ma’am.
The ceremonial flag hoisting followed, with the National Flag being hoisted by our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Prakash Shanmugam, MBBS, MD. The Olympic Flag was hoisted by our respected Chairman, Roever Group of Institutions, and the School Flag was hoisted by our Respected Principal mam, Roever Group of Institutions.
The ceremony continued with the inspiring March Past, Olympic Torch-Bearing Ceremony, and Sports Oath-Taking Ceremony, setting the perfect tone for the day.

Our esteemed Chief Guest addressed the students and emphasised the importance of good health, determination, discipline, perseverance, and true sportsmanship in shaping a successful life.

Our respected Chairman delivered the Presidential Address, inspiring the students to develop a sporting spirit and emphasising that every student should learn and actively participate in at least one sport.

The much-awaited Track and Field Events then commenced. Our Chief Guest inaugurated the 4 × 100 m Relay, and the winning team was honoured with certificates in recognition of their remarkable performance.

The audience was enthralled by the spectacular drill performances by students from Grades I to IX, followed by impressive demonstrations of Karate, Silambam, and Human Pyramid, showcasing the students’ discipline, coordination, strength, and confidence.
Adding to the excitement, the Parents’ Lucky Corner was conducted, and the fortunate winners were felicitated with prizes.

The celebration culminated in the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the outstanding performances of our young athletes were recognised and applauded.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. Anjelin Jenitha, followed by the National Anthem.
The 29th Annual Sports Meet was truly a memorable celebration of talent, teamwork, discipline, determination, and sportsmanship, leaving everyone with cherished memories and renewed inspiration to embrace the spirit of sports.
